2020 Mesquite WORCS

By Precision Concepts | June 2, 2020 |

After a long hiatus, the west-coast off-road season was back underway. The hot, dry desert of Mesquite, NV was the hosting location for the third round of the WORCS series. As always, the Mesquite race course would be a challenging combination of deep sand, some silty sections, and rough whoops. In addition, high winds made it tough to keep much moisture in the ground…

By Precision Concepts | March 3, 2020 |

That being the case, the hosting Prairie Dogs MC made a few changes to the direction and sequence of the different sections on offer. This made for a well-received racecourse. Additionally—and for the seventh year in a row—the grand prix was hit with rain…

Honolulu Hills Raceway, in Taft, CA, played host to the second round of the 2020 WORCS series. As is typical in Taft, the course developed lots of square-edged chop. This made conditions both tricky and physical for the riders to push the pace for the full two-hour pro race…

2020 Taft NGPC

By Precision Concepts | February 10, 2020 |

Taft can be a polarizing venue. To explain, the terrain becomes quite choppy, sometimes developing deep, square holes that litter an entire straightaway. If riders choose “good” lines—skating the edges, cutting across the chop and finding some smoother track—joy and speed can be found in that. However, if the preferred method is banging right down the main line, it can be a frustrating and taxing experience…
