2017 NHHA Lucerne
2017 Lucerne NHHA Report —
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Precision Concepts’ Justin Morgan continued his streak of solid finishes at the 2017 Lucerne NHHA. The 100’s MC laid out a brutally rough racecourse that pushed the racers to their limits. Morgan road smooth and consistent, netting fifth place on the day. The fifth place finish moved Morgan up to fifth in the championship standings with one remaining round.
Justin Morgan — 5th place
Morgan commented after the race that the 100’s MC lived up to their reputation of marking a tough racecourse. The 100-plus-mile track was a relentless combination of technical rock sections and whooped-out single track trails. Early in the race race, Morgan was inside the top-ten, but later mentioned that the dusty conditions made it difficult to overtake on the first loop. At the beginning of the second loop, Morgan had pushed his way up to seventh place. From there, Justin had a solid pace, matching the rider ahead of him, but was unable to close the gap to the finish. The fifth place finish continues Justin’s show of consistency and moves him up to a career-best fifth place in the championship standings with only Barstow remaining on the calendar.
