MORGAN EXCELS IN UTAH, BREAKS INTO TOP FIVE

Jericho, UT (May 15th, 2016) –

Overnight rains kept the dust to a minimum at the third round of the 2016 National Hare and Hound series, which played in the favor of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Precision Concepts, Maxxis racing’s Justin Morgan after he suffered a multi-kick start. Said Morgan, “It took a few kicks to get the bike fired, but I took the line straight down the middle [of the bomb run]; everybody was going left and right, and with the rain the night before, it helped me make a lot of passes, probably up into the top ten.”

From there, Justin methodically worked his way up through the riders ahead, working his way up to fifth place by the time the first loop came to a close. “The course was way easier to follow on then lead, and I got by Joe [Wasson, who was running fourth] when he took a wrong turn. I followed him, and then we both found the trail at the same time and pinned it. I was able to get back to the course quicker, but Joe kept the throttle on and we rubbed elbows a little bit. I was able to stay ahead and after that and I just focussed on navigating…and not doing something dumb.”

Justin was able to navigate to the finish successfully while maintaining a small gap over Wasson, and crossed the line in fourth, marking his best finish of the year. “It feels good!” exclaimed Justin, “You know, I went out there and just rode the way I knew I could. Once I was up inside the top five I just wanted to stay smooth and it feels great to ride the way I know I’m capable.”

Justin’s next event will be the fifth round of the West Hare Scrambles series this weekend, May 22nd, in Panaca, NV.
