Race Report: 2015 BIG 6 round 8 | Lake Elsinore

PRECISION CONCEPTS’ JUSTIN SEEDS LOCKS DOWN SECOND IN BIG 6.

Justin Seeds finishes solid third at Lake Elsinore and wraps up second in the District 37 BIG 6 Grand Prix series.

Lake Elsinore, CA (December 5th, 2015) –

Precision Concepts Racing’s Justin Seeds had a fight on his hands for second place as the District 37 BIG 6 Grand Prix championship headed to Lake Elsinore, where a motocross-oriented, dusty racecourse greeted the competitors. Justin’s race got off to a decent start as he slotted into around seventh place early on. “The start was ok,” said Seeds, “I was a little conservative early, maybe, and I didn’t think it was going to be that dusty.” The dust played a big factor in the race, making it tough to push and make passes, especially early on. “It was a lot of work [coming through the pack], but I was able to catch a couple guys and then pass them when they came in to pit.”

Justin put in a great charge through the first half of the race, making it up to second place before his pit stop, but a brave decision by Blayne Thompson (who was running third) relegated Seeds back a position. “I got in and out of the pits really fast, but unfortunately for me, Blayne didn’t pit [at all during the race] and I just ran out of time to catch him, so I had to take third.” Though it wasn’t the finish Justin was hoping for, third was more than enough for Justin to secure second place in the championship and he showed the speed to challenge for the win, setting the fastest laps late in the race. “I’m feeling good, but I know I can do more,” said Justin as he looks to 2016, “now I can kill myself during the week [over the next month] to get ready for next year without worrying about a race on the weekend. I know it’s not going to get any easier next year, but I want to show what I can do.”
