Race Report: 2015 BIG 6 Round 5 | Primm
The flat desert behind Primm Valley Resort Hotel hosted the fifth round of the District 37 BIG 6 GP series. A fast, dusty, and somewhat narrow course awaited the riders, making overtaking difficult, and a good start a necessity. Justin was able to get off to a decent start, holding fourth place behind Eric Yorba, Colton Udall and Ryan Reina early on. The two leaders were able to get away in the early-race dust and for most of the race, Justin had a great back and forth battle with Reina for third place, the two swapping the final podium position back and forth. As the race wound down, Justin wasn’t quite able to make the pass stick for the final spot on the podium, settling for a fourth place finish on the day. Justin later summed up his ride, “I felt ok, but nothing like I wanted. I think today was an off-day for me. I never really felt comfortable and used a lot of energy early on, which made me a little tired at the end of the race.
