MORGAN FINISHES THE YEAR ON THE BOX

Riverside, CA (November 14, 2016) –

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Precision Concepts, Maxxis Racing’s Justin Morgan closed out the 2016 West Hare Scramble series with a solid performance, taking the third spot on the podium and securing fifth place in the overall standings in his first year chasing the series. Justin started just inside of the top ten in the main event and wasted no time working his way up to third place by the second of six loops around the 18-mile course and rode a consistent pace to earn his second podium of the year, backing up his victory at the previous round.

“I’m super happy to back up my win with a podium.” said Justin after the race, “[The start] was pretty interesting because we started on the street and a lot of guys got a good jump. It funneled right into a tight single-track canyon that was insanely dusty, but it wasn’t too bumpy so you could kind of stick with the pack. I got up in to third…and I think a lot of guys started to fade later in the race. I could see that I wasn’t going to catch Nick [Burson] or Axel [Pearson, who was leading] and I looked back and didn’t see anyone behind me for a long way so I toned it down to [secure] third place. I’m happy with it [and] I can’t wait to carry this momentum into next year!”

Justin plans on competing in the Los Ancianos Tecate Enduro the first weekend of December, his final race of the calendar year, before preparing for the 2017 season.
