Race Report: 2015 WORCS Round 5 | Sand Hollow
The fifth round of the WORCS grand prix series headed to the deep sand dunes of Sand Hollow, Utah. Lap times were the longest the series has seen since 2013 with the racers taking over eighteen minutes to complete a loop. The race began with a dead engine start and while Justin got off to an average start, Robby was left in the first corner picking his bike up after running into the back of Ryan Reina. Robby quickly made a charge through the field, passing up to third by the end of the first lap; Seeds had also made a few moves to put himself just inside the top five. With such long lap times, and deep sand, the team made the decision to play it safe and pit every two laps, making for a total of two pits in the race while the main competitors’ KTMs use slightly larger tanks and were confident in pitting at the close of lap three, making for just one stop in the pits.

Robby had passed into the lead by the end of the second lap, but relinquished the top two spot to Gary Sutherlin and Eric Yorba after coming into the pits for gas, and would rejoin the race in third. Meanwhile, Justin had made his way up to fourth place, passing Ivan Ramirez, and was putting in a steady charge to catch Yorba for the final podium position.
