The 2015 24 Hours of Glen Helen had an incredibly competitive pro class, with five teams capable of taking the win. As always, the 24 Hour is a battle of attrition as much as speed, and who can limit any mental or mechanical mistakes. This year just wasn’t to be for us, as minor mechanical issues cost us down time in the pits throughout the race. We got off to a good start, holding second place for much of the early going behind the JCR Honda team. The OX Motorsports team would pass us a few hours into the race, relegating us to third, but we stayed close and moved back into second when the JCR team suffered a cracked piston, which set them back multiple laps after repairing. Our riders tried to close the distance to the OX team, but a couple more minor mechanical problems cropped up in the early hours of the morning which actually cost us second place, as the John Burr Cycles entry made their way by. It was a bit disappointing to have to settle for third after winning the event last year, but we learned a few valuable lessons to make our effort stronger in the future.
